DAY 1WELCOME & ALPINE WARM-UP
Welcome to Bormio. Upon arrival, we’ll get you settled and perfectly fitted to your AURUM bike. A comprehensive briefing will cover the week’s epic schedule and safety protocols before we head out for a gentle introductory ride. This 55 km spin with 450 m of elevation is designed to let you acclimate to the alpine air, test the equipment, and spin the legs after your journey.
The evening is for connection. We’ll share a welcome dinner where the passion for cycling and anticipation for the climbs ahead—Stelvio, Gavia, Mortirolo—will set the stage for an unforgettable training camp.

DAY 2CLIMBING TECHNIQUE & THE GAVIA PASS
Today, the real challenge begins. We tackle a demanding 90 km route with 3,000 m of elevation gain, focusing on climbing and descending technique. This stage is a masterclass in mountain riding, where our professional coach will provide one-on-one analysis of your power, posture, and cadence. You will learn how to pace your effort efficiently on long ascents and master the art of descending with confidence on alpine roads. It’s a day of significant effort and even greater learning.

DAY 3ENDURANCE & THE MORTIROLO CHALLENGE
With the longest distance of the training camp, today’s 125 km stage and its 1,600 m of elevation is all about building endurance and tactical awareness. We will simulate race conditions with controlled intensity, working on long paceline rotations and energy management. The route, featuring the formidable Mortirolo, will test your rhythm and resilience. This session is designed to sharpen your group riding skills and prepare you for any long-distance challenge.

DAY 4INTENSITY WORK & SPECIAL EXPERIENCE
Today we refine your power with a specific intensity session. The morning will be dedicated to targeted uphill intervals on a classic local climb, where our coach will guide you to optimize your output and threshold. Following the hard work, you’ll enjoy a special experience: an exclusive team talk and a guided tour of Bormio’s historic surroundings. The afternoon is for relaxation and recovery before we gather for a farewell dinner to celebrate the week’s achievements and camaraderie.

DAY 5FINAL SPIN & DEPARTURE
For our final day, we enjoy a relaxed recovery ride. This easy spin is the perfect opportunity to cool down, reflect on the monumental climbs you’ve conquered, and share final stories with your fellow riders. It’s a moment to celebrate the camaraderie and personal achievements of the past few days. After the ride, we’ll gather for a final coffee and say our farewells, leaving you with stronger legs and unforgettable memories of the Italian Alps.

What is the difficulty level of the experiences?
Our experiences are designed for riders of different levels, from cycling enthusiasts with a solid fitness base to more experienced cyclists. You don’t need to be a professional, but we recommend a preparation period of 3 to 6 months to fully enjoy the trip.
Each route is classified according to distance and elevation gain, so you can choose the experience that best suits your profile.

Do I need to bring my own bike?
No. Every SCIO experience includes an AURUM bike, fitted to your measurements. You only need to bring your pedals, cycling shoes, and, if you wish, your own saddle.
All our bikes are equipped with GPS mounts. Please let us know in advance which device you use so we can prepare the adapter.
What is the group size?
The minimum group size is 6 participants and the maximum is 12, ensuring an exclusive and personalized atmosphere.
Are the trips suitable for solo travelers?
Yes. Many of our guests travel alone and find a friendly and welcoming environment here. You can share a room with another guest or request a single room for an additional fee.
What safety measures are in place?
All routes are checked in advance. We provide a support vehicle, experienced guides trained in first aid, and full mechanical assistance.
Can I customize a trip or create a private group?
Yes, we design tailor-made experiences for private groups, corporate trips, or groups of friends looking for an exclusive adventure.
How does the booking and payment process work?
You can book directly on our website or contact us by email. To confirm your spot, you will need to pay a deposit. The remaining balance must be paid before departure.
What happens if the trip does not reach the minimum number of participants?
- Keep the trip with a small supplement.
- Switch to another date or experience without penalty.
- Full refund of your reservation.
What if there is bad weather or unforeseen events?
Is travel insurance required?
Yes. All participants must have travel insurance covering accidents, medical assistance, and possible cancellations. If you don’t have one, we can recommend specific policies for cycling trips.
What should I pack?
On the bike: bib shorts, helmet, gloves, rain jacket, sunglasses, cycling shoes, and your pedals.
Off the bike: casual clothing, comfortable walking shoes, swimwear (in destinations with pools or beaches), and a light jacket.
Other essentials: passport or ID, travel insurance, personal medication, power adapter, and sunscreen.
What is the single room supplement?
The single room supplement is 280 EUR per person.
How much do I pay when booking?
A 30% deposit is required to secure your spot. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the experience.
Can I cancel it?
- +45 days: 100% refund.
- 45–30 days: The 30% deposit is non-refundable.
- –30 days: Non-refundable.
Can I transfer my booking to someone else?
Yes, free of charge, up to 15 days before the start of the experience.
What happens in case of force majeure?
You may change your dates or receive a 100% credit voucher valid for 12 months.
